Made in JapanA Poem by Elton CampIt's on the way and probably unstoppable.Made in Japan By Elton Camp It was made in Japan and it’s on the way And it’s coming ever closer day-by-day It is not some fine car or a really great TV But it’s a bunch of broken junk we’ll see All kinds of debris the tsunami swept away Will reach the U.S. west coast some day Refrigerators, furniture, wood, even boats Here is coming most anything that floats Up to twenty million tons is the weight Spotted 2,000 miles from Japan of late But that’s minor and nobody will mind Japan had 20,000 dead or couldn’t find Hawaii much sooner the debris will reach Some may wash up on its beautiful beach © 2011 Elton Camp |
