Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My

By Elton Camp

Dorothy’s Enchanted Forest isn’t in Ohio

But they’ve had vicious animals on the go

Loose beasts caused school to shut down

Folks stayed inside in case they came around

Their owner opened the cages and let them out

As to his reasons there is considerable doubt

At first, authorities made a few valiant tries

The dangerous creatures with darts to tranquilize

It didn’t work like it does on some nature show

They fought it off and continued on the go

Though animals lovers howled in great protest

To kill them off for safety seemed to be best

Those who had a serious problem with that

Weren’t living where the real danger was at

No doubt PETA will come to have an angry say

Let THEM come catch them would be a better way
