From horror stories it’s best to stay away

Lest we have nightmares by night or day

 

For once those terrible stories we have read

It implants gruesome ideas into one’s head

 

Once confined to some slick-back magazine

In other places such writing is now often seen

 

And the scariest material that I have ever read

Comes from what the daily newspaper has said
