My Car Makes This Loud Clunking Sound

The loud clunks in his car caused Joe much alarm

For he sure feared it was causing his vehicle harm

 

So he took it in and made an emergency stop

At old Honest John’s automobile repair shop

 

“John, whenever I turn to the left or the right

This terrible, loud sound is causing me fright.”

 

John took the customer’s car out for a spin

As Joe said, he heard the sound again & again

 

The car was quiet and smooth running straight

The clunk came when it was a turn to navigate

 

The mechanic pulled the car over to the side

He opened the trunk and saw what was inside

 

Into the ditch Joe’s bowling ball he threw

Now the car was as quiet as when it was new

 

Back at the shop he presented Joe his bill

“I believe that I have solved your car’s ill.”

 

“But if the noise should happen to start again,

Bring it back & I’ll do it for half as your friend.”
