The Worst Telemarketer Criminal

By Elton Camp

Government programs we often criticize

Ones that work well become a surprise

The donotcall.gov is sure one of those

Telemarketer door it did nearly close

Whereas those pests called often before

Now there’s only one that I get anymore

The odious words I have come to hate

“Do you want lower credit card rate?”

We get that annoying call most every day

They won’t stop no matter what I say

Reporting the violator hasn’t done any good

If the government can act, I sure wish it would

Caller ID never displays the company’s name

But that recorded voice is always the same

But it is a different number that they use

They have dozens from which to choose

Capital punishment I am not keen about

But, “In this case use it,” I angrily shout
