A Surfer Seeks the Ultimate Wave

By Elton Camp

Hey all of you surfer dudes out there

How much do you like waves to dare

Is it hard to wait for one to come in

So you can get atop and hang ten?

A report of a tsunami Sean learned

So fast to the beach, rubber burned

Dangerous conditions were slated

But warnings are often exaggerated

He paddled out against all advice

He might not get the chance twice

‘Twas a worthwhile risk, he explained

So, in the water, watching, he remained

But as a wave approached the shore

It did what Sean hadn’t seen before

It rose up nearly a hundred feet tall

And then on poor Sean it did fall

Falsely, at his wake, friends did say

Pal Sean didn’t mind dying this way
