Hand Over the Dough

By Elton Camp

Just recently over in Cape Cod,

A robbery turned out very odd

Into Dunkin’ Donuts with knives

Men threatened employee lives

A paper bag the robbers took away

Thinking it filled with store’s pay

Their wisdom it’s easy to chide

They didn’t bother to look inside

But when they saw what they got

It put them into a very foolish spot

For when the truth was then told

It was a bag of donuts they stole

Now as they are waiting for a trial

The employees all wink and smile

This gave me a chuckle, looks like the robbers got dough but not the kind they wanted, good rhyme and the meter is nice as well thanks for sharing.
