The Solution to the Jobs Crisis?

By Elton Camp

In this write, words I don’t intend to mince

Of illegal immigration I’m making no defense

Nor any illegal aliens am I attempting to shame

If my family was in poverty, I might do the same

There is one main point that I want here to note

If the government should seize aliens by the throat

And throw them over the border and admit no more

Would there be plenty of employment as before?

Most of them have some low-paying, menial task

How many legals would, for those jobs then ask?

Are you or I those type jobs really going to take

To do picking, digging, cleaning or using a rake?

Some will say, “Why, yes, I’d be willing to do so.”

To that response, I have very serious doubts though

If a shortage of such workers never had there been,

There was no reason for illegal immigration to begin

Yeah, I have to admit, I don't want one of those jobs, either.
