A Case of Age Discrimination?

By Elton Camp

She was first introduced in nineteen-fifty nine

All through the years, her sales have been fine

Because when the current model began to drag

They pull another variation out of the toy bag

In imitating movie stars they didn’t hold back

One Barbie the company finally made black

But the impossible figure has always been there

On the far-too-skinny doll with the golden hair

There’s a type of Barbie they’ve forgotten about

And it’s about time they brought one of them out

Perhaps “Old Barbie” would be a suitable name

Long, gray hair could be the source of her fame

I say a doll like this would be so extremely cute

And help them avoid a costly class-action suit

Against the aged, no longer they’ll discriminate

You folks better take action before it’s too late
