Jody’s Fishing Trip

By Elton Camp

Jody had never been fishing before

Now he can’t wait to go some more

His dad took him down to the creek

The fish were on a major biting streak

The two caught their limit by end of day

At home, Jody has a lot to his mom to say

“It was about the most fun I’ve ever had.

And I just love going fishing with my dad.”

The fish they caught were really quite small

But yet it didn’t seem that way to Jody at all

The memory he will cherish for years to come

Even when a grownup man Jody has become
