How High Can Gas Go?

By Elton Camp

Nobody seems to know just what to say

Gas prices are increasing most every day

And the last time, the cost made me gulp

Because then I had a sixty dollar fill-up

If gas prices at this rate keep on rising,

My vehicle I will have to be downsizing

And for those folks who barely get by,

Unessential driving they won’t even try

But if the oil companies continue to prey

Their greed may come to haunt some day

When somebody perfects alternate power,

Then imagine how angrily they’ll glower
