Work at Home

By Elton Camp

“Since the shortage of jobs is such a big concern,

This is an opportunity of which you should learn.

Don’t try beat the pavement seeking employment.

Rather, working at home will result in enjoyment.”

Solicitations like this are frequently on the Internet

That they are legitimate employment is an iffy bet

Almost all of them are nothing but a lying scam

Organizers will just take your money and scram

The craft assembly scam:  “Here’s what we will do.

Assemble some dolls.  We then buy them from you.”

A starter kit with instruction and parts you must buy

You can’t meet specifications however hard you try

Even if perfectly done, specifications you can’t meet

You’ll be stuck with dolls you can’t sell"total defeat

The scammers make money from the kits they sell

Assembled product they don’t want but never tell

If desperate and to be swindled you seem willing

You can start your own at-home medical billing

“State-of-the-art software we will gladly supply

And a list of potential clients to whom to apply.”

Only after you have paid for their worthless stuff,

You learn the facts, but not nearly soon enough

Their own billing almost all medical clinics do

Or outsource to firms, not individuals like you

Another scam:  “For information on working at home,

Just contact us at our 900 number from your own phone.”

The problem is that 900 numbers cost you money to call

Sad to say, they actually have no work-at-home jobs at all

Most folks are reasonably good typists who use the Internet

So “typing at home” might seem like such an ideal job to get

“For information” you are required to send them a small fee

You are told to place more typist ads to get money for free

So, if to try to work-at-home is what you decide to do,

Please realize that legitimate opportunities are very few

You have virtually no chance to find a legal, ethical biz

Remember this, “If it sounds too good to be true, it is.”
