In Defense of Frederic Prinz von Anhalt

By Elton Camp

Have you ever heard of this man before?

He is the ninth husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor

About him we now hear but little good,

But maybe it is high time that we should

First, to be a prince he has made no claim

“Prinz von Anhalt” is his legal surname

He says that he likes to play the aristocrat

But just exactly what’s wrong with that?

When a German princess lost her son,

Was when the adult adoption was done

Of the Pincess’ son he had been a friend

Her attention she had every right to extend

His actual status remained as it was before

He was called Robert Lichtenberg no more

German royalty was abolished years ago

And he has repeatedly told the public so

True, he seems to like publicity and fame

Given the chance, most would do the same

Seems to me that he’s a fun loving old coot

One who knows how to make his life a hoot

To care well for his ailing wife he is trying

We all plainly see that Zsa Zsa is now dying

So let’s give the man a little bit more respect

And from him perfection, we shouldn’t expect
