Bill Cosby, A Class Act

By Elton Camp

Bill Cosby performed Saturday night

We found it to be a welcome delight

Not one use of “F,” or “S,” or “GD”

Not a foul word did the audience see

He spoke of things from life everyday

But in an exceptionally comedic way

In Birmingham we were glad to be

So a man like Bill Cosby we could see

Not once did he any vile hatred spew

He’s a gentleman, through and through

The Performance Hall he did fully pack

Bill didn’t inflict an inferior warm-up act

Joan Rivers’ performance the week before

Made me want to see the heifer nevermore

But the next time Bill Cosby comes to town

My family and I will gladly come around
