Can It Be True?

Can It Be True?

Perhaps it is devolution instead?

Can It Be True?

By Elton Camp

Some say that way back in time

Life arose from primordial slime

First living things did right well

Even though they had but one cell

First came the creatures in the sea

From them all other life came to be

Then on a few, legs began to sprout

From the salty ocean they came out

Animals that walked on the dry land

To evolve higher did all that they can

And so, natural selection was the key

To all the diversity that we now see

And among the animals were those

From which modern humans arose

Piltdown man, just a hoax was he

Then Neanderthal man came to be

Was Cro-Magnon man next in line?

Nope, the two lived at the same time

The picture then isn’t so very clear

Line of ascent we haven’t come near

Science says evolution just has to be

Alternative is too incredible, you see

That it was God who put humans here

And to Him will let them draw near
