The SmokerA Poem by Elton CampRights of smokers? The Smoker By Elton Camp Who’s a smoker we all know Because our noses tell us so. To be close to a smoker is no treat. Disgusting stench extends five feet. And anytime they smile or frown, Teeth are seen to be yellow-brown. We take a look at their clothes. Holes are burns, we do suppose. All public places their number have got. Only allowed to puff in the parking lot. People like to breathe clean air. That rule seems to be only fair. Its intent smokers manage to defeat. Puff outside the door about two feet. Innocent people then have to choke Due to their lungs filled with smoke. If you complain, expect to get a fight. “To smoke is my American right.” Others’ rights of smoke to be free Is something they just don’t see. For peoples’ health they don’t care. So smoke near them and ruin the air. I say, “You should go to the trouble: Only smoke while sealed in a bubble.”
