Easy Way to a College Degree

By Elton Camp

Four years are not required

For the degree that is desired.

Avoid all that fuss

Buy it now from us.

One degree not enough?

We’ve got even more stuff.

B.A., M.A., Ph.D

You can have all three.

We guarantee an admittance

And the cost is just a pittance

Never a qualifying test

We know you are the best

Never have to roam

Or even leave your home.

A library filled with books

Is only there for looks.

No campus on which to park

Or stumble around in the dark.

Sly as any grinning fox,

We operate from a P.O. Box

Faculty with degrees?

What need of these?

Deal with an old grouch

Or just lay on your couch?

Never take a test

Stay home and rest.

What more to say?

We guarantee an A.

Accredited we are not.

That’s a bunch of rot.

Who will ever know

Lest you tell them so?

Send your tuition right away.

What need is there of delay?

If you pay it’ll never fail

Your degree arrives by mail.

No need to stand around

And wear cap and gown.

While dean awards the sheepskin

When the postman is your friend.

Tell to one and all

Hang it on your wall.

There for all to see

You have a degree.

Oh my gosh I love it!!! This is soooo true nowadays....and unfortnately, every piece of paper now....becomes less worthy...unless you know how to read the fine print...

I absolutely love your sentence structures....I know I've said it before, but I'd like to reiterate...it gives the poem such extra power/strength.

Wonderful...and thank you!
