Pistorius Escapes from PrisonA Poem by Elton CampAlthough the warden attached a ball and chainPistorius Escapes From Prison
By Elton Camp
When he blew his girlfriend away “It’s murder,” the prosecutor did say
“No, I thought a prowler breaking in. I’m not guilty of murder or of any sin.”
Pistorius’ story they weren’t buying For his crime, authorities were trying
For homicide, five years in the pen His incarceration he had to begin
To ensure in the cell he would remain The warden attached a ball and chain
The next morning, his mouth was agape For the sly Pistorius had made his escape
He slipped away with the greatest ease And went fleeing on his hands and knees © 2014 Elton CampFeatured Review
