Do not love me easy

Do not love me easy

A Poem by EloisaWrites

Do not love me easy.

My edges are sharp enough
to cut your heart
and make you bleed;
my strings are firm enough
to strangle your innocence
and enthusiasm to death;
my fuse is short enough
to blow your insecurities
to invisible bits;

my schemes
are coy enough
to shake your poised confidence;
my fears are toxic enough
to melt your devotion
to poisonous malice;
my truths are ugly enough
to blacken your glittered dreams
and wonders.

So love me tough and steady.

Be still enough to null my blades;
patient enough to weave my strings;
calm enough to appease the fire;
warm enough to light the sky;
trusting enough to hear me twice;
gentle enough to know my 'why's;

That you will hold my heart -
in its devoted, trembling beats of frailty. #

"That you will hold my heart -
in its devoted, trembling beats of frailty."

Some powerful expressions in this powerful and poised poem. To extinguish the fire or appease it. An excellent one...:).....................
