Mozart in Words

Mozart in Words

A Poem by Eloha

Suddenly, in the far corners of the night

I felt my life in little distances

I could not rectify history

Or uncover the secrets of my own

I'm sick of cautious lyricism

But in the imprecise meaning of words

I felt a light outside of force

A meditation on ambiguity

That lasted in the handbook of my years

The obsession that carried my childhood

I see it shudder like a shadow on the water

My night is a spiritual wedding

Of liberty lost to the world-soul's touch

The literature of unheard of contemporaries

Who will never be read, whose words will die alone.

"I see it shudder like a shadow on the water/My night is a spiritual wedding"--brilliant lines, truly. I have little else to say.
