Let there be no end of Value to us

Let there be no end of Value to us

A Poem by Eloha

Home is a strange place

We construct it from the inside out

We forget to marry friends to it;

Forget that clinging isn’t permanent

These big houses rest alone with their memories

The heart hangs in emotional chin-ups

Of all the times I had wanted

To love you more than I knew or could!

In your depths you were a restless indecision

You fit me into your life like a box

But as a jewel you forgot to keep

I slipped out of your hands, because simply

You never wore me, never appreciated

My luminous order of Venus, wasted on you

The sentimental cruelty of missing your child

When all I’ve ever known are broken homes.
