Black Cat

Black Cat

A Poem by Ellyahnna Hall
"

A poem about healing and depression

"

I know I've been away for a while

I needed time to heal-

To find a place to lick my wounds

I needed some time to deal

I had to journey the cobble stone path of jazzy tunes

Pawing at the warmly lit windows of the social elite

I needed to rest painful feet

And take shelter from life's relentless storm

I traveled across the land of seasons

I pondered the many reasons

I needed time to heal-

To find a place to lick my wounds

To gather my strength and get off the ground

And now that I have got some rest

I've decided to come back around.
