A Moment

A Moment

A Poem by Elly
"

Lately I've been in a wonderfully poetic and romantic mood so, this poem was inspired by a beautiful melody called '...And Then I Kissed Him" from the movie 'Pearl Harbor'.

"

The soft roar of the ocean,

the gentle touch of the wind.

The warm rays of the sun,

the cool of the grass.

The velvet petal of a rose,

the fleeting view of a bird.

The glimpse of a rainbow,

the melting of snow.

The soft brush of your lips

against mine.

The tantalizing touch of your

hand.

The lightest of caresses that

makes me want more.

The gentle sound of your voice,

whispering sweet nothings in my ear.

Nothing can be compared

to the way I feel when I'm with you.

Like,

there's not a care in the world.

As though,

I am your world and

you are mine.

Nothing else matters

in these few

stolen

hours.
