From the first glance, you stood apart,
A quiet storm, a work of art.

In crowded rooms, your presence glows,
A silent pull that everyone knows.

A beacon bright in shadowed space.

Starstruck, caught in your light,
Your brilliance burns steady, never contrite.
Known for skill, yet shunning praise,
You let others bask in your rays.

But here I sit, my thoughts unstrung�"
Why me? What web have you spun?
When you could soar among the stars,
Why linger here, why lower bars?

The lingering stares I dare not meet,
The subtle steps that bridge our feet.
Questions asked with no real need,
Each word, a tether, planting seeds.

Surely this isn’t all in my head,
Surely, it’s real�"these things you’ve said.
But why me? What do you see?
Am I a pause in your symphony?

Do I seem simple, an easy test?
A fleeting thrill, a heart to wrest?
If your love is true, then tell me why,
For I don’t want this to end in a cry.

How could a girl like me catch your eye,
When so many others longingly try?
Among the crowd that vies for you,
