This is sweeeet!
I enjoyed so much to read this. this is simple yes in wording but inspiring in message, flow, and execution from beginning to end. I want to compare you to a writer, and before anyone implies this to be insulting when I reference a children's author allow me to give my context.
In my childhood up to about the age of eight I never cared much for reading, writing, and most importantly poetry. then came a day in school we were taken into the library for a reading which was normal... however that which was read at least to me was not and never will be less then genius.
It was Shel Silverstien's " Where the side walk ends ". Simply put his original subjects of writing in the sense of what I saw as unconventional blew my mind and his flow to me was masterful. It was like the first time someone had said "hey, you... this is your soul" I dare say you share his gift to make that level of impact on people with works like this.
I mean to convey my absolute love of this piece, and your ability to stoke such great ideals and feelings in people as my inspiration did me. His writings some might describe as child's play but I say a poem about a girl who couldn't be found because her messy room enveloped her written with great flow and even moral of the story aspect being quite creative.
I hope none of this to be mistaken as anything less than heart felt admiration for the beauty of this piece.
I liked this a lot - asking what makes a poem a poem is like asking what makes art art - more in the eye of the creator than the beholder, I think. Your piece has a whimsical element that kept me smiling throughout.
You know something about writing is the fact it has no rules, that's what makes it so freaking lovely...and i must say this was a splendorous version of writing. Enjoy it.
I write with caution to the wind...
how it comes out is how I write it..even with a,pause
it is fun to try different styles of writing but it is also fun to break the rules...writing the only rules that haven't changed as our technology grows or even our language-up to date this is new lingo should not be held back it should be unleashed like a beast
thank you for sharing

this is a refreshing take on the manners and structured expectations people have of poetry. the truth is, poetry is whatever we make it. we can find it in every aspect of life, even in a baby's cry or the mutterings of a street corner hobo. so, i don't think the written word or how it is written has any patent and set parameters on what we view, individually, as poetic. it is in the eye and ear of the beholder. superb write!
