Chapter Two- Getting to know each otherA Chapter by Ellie
“Wanna
talk?” I asked the female in front of me and stretched out as I looked over,
she eyed me suspiciously, her emerald eyes meeting my red ones and they seemed
to sparkle a little.
“I don’t want to be a bother” she replied shyly as she looked up at me and a small frown graced her lips. “Of course not” I replied sweetly, she seemed cute, and I had nothing else to do, so why not listen? I ran a hand through my raven black hair as I looked up at her, glad that in the transformation, there were no hints as to my real identity, so I could happy stay with her without her finding out. “Where to start?” she seemed to muse to herself before she looked at her feet again and then up at me. “My father and I have always had a rough relationship… ever since my mother died, he’s blamed me, she found out about it after I was born… sometime I wish it was the other way around and that he had died and she had lived, but then I feel so guilty about it…” she started as she looked back at her feet. “Found out about what?” I asked quietly. “Cancer” she replied, her voice sad making me frown a little more. “I’m so sorry” I whispered but she shook her head. “It’s not your fault… life’s hard, but at least I can be thankful that I’m still around” she said quietly, I moved a little closer, and absentmindedly pushed a strand of dyed red hair behind her ear, making her blush and me chuckle a little. “You’re cute when you blush” I commented as I looked over at her, only making the girl blush more. “I’m Daken by the way” I said gently as I looked up at her. “Alice” she replied as she looked up at me, her head tilted to the side. “You have a cool name” she commented making me smile a little more. “Thanks, I like yours, it’s pretty” I said gently and she blushed even more. “Are you new? I don’t think I’ve seen you around before?” she asked as she eyed me again and I nodded. “I just moved here today” I replied with a smile and she nodded. “Would you mind showing me around?” I asked her gently as I looked back over to her. “Show me all the good spots?” she laughed gently but nodded. “Sure… though I don’t know how many good spots there are here” she told me and I smiled. “I’m sure there are lots… and even if not, it’ll be nice to hang out with a pretty girl” I said and she blushed again but she seemed to be able to get herself together again quickly and stood. “Come on” she said, holding out her hand for me to use to get up, but I was already on my feet and smirking a little. “Lead the way” I told her and she looked at me and nodded before she began to walk out of the small park area we had been sat in. © 2014 Ellie |
