The trenches of the SoulA Poem by Lady EllenI saw this contest and had an inspiration
Eyes are a wondrous marvel, a delightful tool for sight, the true windows of the soul, brown, blue and soft green, such treasures they hide unseen yet, there is still one miracle we have yet to grasp a vast ocean of ethereal tides hidden so deep in the trenches of our subconscious minds.
To see with the eyes of our soul, is a way to see depths untold the many layers of lives we live hidden deep within the minds of our tired old souls.
Countless years of milleniums, deep vast oceans of time, bring a cold and sometimes chilling relief, so very briefly as we sleep with the eyes of a dreamless sleep, traveling through vast astral planes we softly creep, how it fills our ethereal mind with such wonders and unanswered questions questions that need answers and are answered with more questions.
The subconscious collects these travels and bury's it in a deep landscape of space and time like hidden lost treasures that shipwreck deep within the creases of our mind.
Then to awaken and stir, to another new sunrise, caught between dreaming and awake our subconscious still fully aware, our physical conscious mind is without a care.
We now have our human eyes open for the day our astral trip soon slips away making coffee, and kids off to school time for work becomes our golden rule. deep we dive into the physical realities of the day too busy to remember the dream so lost in between it seems and the questions remain unanswered.
The eyes of our soul sees more than we can imagine yet the physical world can be unrelenting for in this world our conscious mind knows there is no room for the spirit to soar for when we try to fly our thoughts soon drop to the floor.
Thank goodness for the dreamers, who soon become doers, and go forward driven by some unknown force they help to make the world a better place they bring a positive hope never afraid to look deep inside for somehow they remember, TO REMEMBER THEIR DREAMS © 2008 Lady EllenReviews
