The Heart of the Beast

The Heart of the Beast

A Poem by Lady Ellen
"

This is a poem about a negative soul.

"

He comes in swift from the darkness,

straight out of the windless night,

wings fully spread to hide a full moon,s light.

Slowly, he glides in to find a perch on the tallest tree.

Quietly, he looks down upon a grief stricken world,

So much sadness for his eyes to see.

He watches and listens, with such extreme intent

. Deep in the heart of his soul, he knows he is quite confident

. His only weapons are his words

. How deeply they cut through flesh, and soul.

Cold as a deep winter's grave, he says his piece.

Then a quick and heartless retreat.

But deep in my heart I know this ravenous beast.

For his true love's heart is what he intends to feast.

I watch him spread his wings and glide away into the stirless night,

with me left knowing his endless plight.

wow this is a good peice about the dark side we all face each day and choose to do good or ill, it represents all the misery that we put into our life and it stews to a boiling point yet we sit back and watch the madness consume our very souls! well done
