Belonging to

Belonging to

A Poem by Ellen Mary

Here is a tear
With your name on it
A salty reflection
A rejection
All that we were
Aint no more

I got your picture
In my head
Pasted on the walls of my brain
No it wasn’t right
It wasn’t easy
its worth the pain
and im living the gain

And here is a tear with your name on it
Ill take back my heart from your careless hands
When all is said and done
I look at you
What a demon you’ve become
Now a memory fading slowly in the dark

And here is a tear with your name loud and clear
Reminding me and telling me the way we used to be
We Laughed and we cried you lied and we just died
a lost battle in the war we so tried to fight
But its too late
To make peace at all

so hear is a tear so forlorn on the floor
the last one to fall
its the last one to call out your name
