Love & H2OA Poem by Ellen Hammond
Love resembles H2O, As its patient ebb and flow, Smooths a jagged heart of stone. Inner beauty thus is shown.
Inner beauty, in its turn Incites passion's sultry burn Love and lust commingled, rise Vapor forms before our eyes
Vapor raptured, unaware The onset of Arctic air Erose edges once more form From thick ice of wintry storm
Ice-packed heart is numbed to pain 'Til warm waters stream again When embraced by H2O Beware of the undertow © 2017 Ellen HammondFeatured Review
