I often think about Jesus and how He was or what He might have done in whatever situation. Not the blue eyed Jesus of the movies or the white robed Jesus in the Sunday school stories or even the baby Jesus at Christmas, but "The true Jesus" who has room in His heart for all of us.
Too many of today's would-be worshippers of Almighty God are discouraged by modern day Pharisees, so
busy counting the toenails, on the aphids, on the bottoms of the leaves, of the twigs, on the branches,
off the limbs of the tree, they forget to stand back and see the Glory of the Tree as a whole, let alone
the Forest. It's so easy to get hung up in legalism, but it's a river we MUST cross en route to true Faith.
Amen Ellen to all of above. It would be great if we all could live a good life. We don,t need to be saints, just do as our hearts tell us, with a little common sense thrown in. It does,nt matter which church we go to, or who is our Leader, just the fact that we try....is the main thing in life.....cos if we did,nt....how boring a life would that be and how crazy and mixed up we would ALL be !!
Very well said Ellen...Thanks again

I like this very much... I am very spieritual with dep roots in Christ... However, I live in the bible belt and there is (now I am not exaggerating here) literally a different church on every corner in my town... they all argue over silly things...and I sometimes wonder when they stopped reading what Jesus said....and if he weeps...
A very poignant write!
Well written and straight forward profession of your faith. And a kind invitation to others. Not too forced; which is very refreshing. I am an ardent patriot, and I believe we should all be honest and head on when dealing with our faiths. Though I'm sure we'd disagree on some finer points, I can see the basis of my own faith in your write. Preach on!
You present your position very well, but as one who serves the g-d most high take another view. I belong to no church or belief system. I help those I find along the way. I give away at least half of my income and live on the rest. I am currently employed by the Census bureau. I begin training a group of listers Monday. One young man has no transportation, so I will be leaving home an hour and a half early to pick him up. Another of my trainees needed $500 down on a car. I have just returned home from paying it. My supervisor told me the bureau will not reimburse me. I knew that. I did on my time and my dime. People ask why I tell them because it is right.
I am not bragging just stating the facts. I will be glad to have you as a friend. Hold true to your faith. As an old man I know how important that is. Do the best you can with what you have, in the place where you are, in the time you have. People should remember rich or poor all get the same in the end. 6 feet of earth and a memory is all you leave behind, I hope to leave a good one.
I really like this...it is so true...people think that they know the way...but only God knows the way..and we need to ask him to show us and to live in our heart...so one day we might be in heaven with him.
Great Job :)
