RENEW ME LORD

RENEW ME LORD

A Poem by Ellen Hammond

RENEW  ME  LORD

When Jesus walked upon the earth
From the crowds He often withdrew
He needed rest and time alone
So his strength He could renew

Now some may wonder what He did
To exhaust Him to such a degree
He healed not with strenuous labor
But a mere touch or word, you see

It's impossible to understand this
'Til you start to walk in His shoes
And obediently reach out to others
Letting the Spirit flow through

As I stretch out my hand in compassion
Truly sharing others grief and pain
He blesses them with His love so healing
But my physical strength tends to wane

I've never known such exhaustion
From any physical labor I've done
But I know He'll revive and renew me
When in the Spirit we are one

This one was highly needed to lift falling spirit, the one I always thought stood tall...words of your are pure form of magic and help millions to wake up their dying souls...you surprise me with your wisdom and wit, such an honest write I was lost and feeling your concern people in need. The world make fun when they see name of Jesus and this is something which kill me inside, such people need to go and travel the world to understand the 'Truth'. Nothing is more honest than the love of our Lord Jesus and his teaching. All the wisdom one can have is from his wonderful guidance love and messages. One of the finest work, I have read on W/C, God bless you my friend and keep creating the magic. Epic!

Dear Ellen
this is so true...i am in love with this poem because indeed GOD heals us and gives us HIS energy and to believe that we have to walk on the path HE walked...
You know what happens with me...when i try to help someone with my thoughts and talk to them in the attempt to soothe their souls, i feel tired and sometimes irritable after i come back...and i need to pray to feel calm again....if i don't pray to God, i fall into depression

Ellen your poem is beautiful , The wisdom shines right through, I understand, your whole being is at the disposition for Our lord to use as he pleases. In my little ways, i find myself reading reviews I wrote but not really mine, I find questioning myself "did I write this ?', can you explain to me what I'm trying to explain.
Thank you my friend for sharing, it's a pleasure to read your poems. Take good care of yourself my friend. God Bless you.
Hugs......Annie

Beautiful Ellen. ALl of your poetry is about the Lord. I can tell your relationship with him is real and sincere. This piece illustrates the humanity of Jesus. Most concentrate on his miracles, or his wisdom, or his Word....but he was also all God & All Man. God incarnate=HE GOT TIRED TOO.

Thanks Ellen,
Markymark

Wow i really like this one to...great job...and it is true...that is why we are here...to help people see who he really is...and so that one day they might live with him...but some people just won't listen no matter what...thats why we need the holy spirit...to give us more strength and words to tell them so they might see the light :)
