But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
Hello!..........and welcome to Writer's Cafe! Your first poem is one that touches me deeply, as it carries with it words of inspiration, and encouragement to always lean on the Lord for understanding and strength!
This is a wonderful, spirit filled write that I have enjoyed, and I hope you will share more of your talent, so that many may be blessed by the gifts our Lord has given unto you!
What a marvelous inspiration this is. I can't begin to tell you how grateful we are to have you in our lives.
Your work brings love, hope, and peace to the world. Smiles and God's blessings.
Another Beautifully Crafted Piece!! I really found this to be quite inspiring and love the work that you have done here!! Thanks, once again, for sharing this poem and spreading God's Word!!!
Another wonderful poem.
Really inspirational, descriptive.
I must admit though, the other poem about the storms had a bigger wow-factor, although since that was so great, it doesn't make this poem a bad one.
Great piece.
Very inspirational and I love your usage of the metaphors. Your pictures are also lovely with the poem. The imagery of your metaphor (the Eagle) is so vivid and profound that I can't help but imagine the bold creature gliding just above the clouds finding comfort in God's light. Well written. :)
A fine piece of inspirational writing. Your faith is always shining through like the Son.;) And your poetic prowess abounds in this piece as well!
but don't forget:
Matthew 5:45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
A device I used myself, in an elegy for a beloved Aunt, some four years ago!
I'll find that poem and load it tomorrow.
Ellen, you've finally done it. You've run me slap out of adjectives. I don't know
what more I can say about the way your beautiful verse affects my heart, than
what I have already said, except to add that whenever I think I've read the most
soul-stirring poem I could imagine, I need but turn to your page for a comeuppance--
there's always a new horizon broached there!
Ellen, What wonderful wisdom for others to read and live by...if only...then the world would be a soooo much better place for us all to get on with each other. Everyone should take a page out of your book.
This is a very strong religious, comforting poem..Thank you so much for sharing.
