Drunken angerA Poem by EllejuneAbout an angry drunk and his actions
Sometimes she sits alone at night
thinking wondering Asking herself why Thoughts come and go then Fear for her life begin to grow Footsteps on the stairs A steady panting of breath She wonders tonight if this one will be her last Death She kneels by the window Quickly begins to pray that this night will end real quick that it soon will quickly be day The creaking of the door goes and of the floorboards in their minds their thinking of what the night will involve and can she take much more A crash A whack A cruch Hitting Kicking Laughing What humiliation what great torture how can a man do this to his daughter Alone she now sits Free for another day Battered Beaten Broken Alone she now cries Knowing he will be back another day To take his drunken anger out on her again as always © 2013 EllejuneAuthor's Note
