Little old man

Little old man

A Poem by Ellejune
"

About an elderly gentleman being found dead after sitting for days deceased.

"
A twinkle of a star
The shining of the moon

The curtains drawn
On a barely empty room

A little rocking chair
Woodworm riddled through

A little old man
his life now through

Not a visit
No one to care

6 days later
the body still sat there

A month goes bye
Relatives begin to cry

As they lay the little old man to rest
With one last lullaby

I think neighbours are not neighbourly any more and what tragically happened in your touching poem is becoming more common
