Positive Spirit

When light comes your way grab it, and hold on to it as long as possible

For too long sadness roamed in the depth of my heart

It ate all my love, all my smiles and the will to give anyone a chance to come into my life

For too long depression sunk its claws in my skin, bringing only pain on the outskirts of my restless soul

I was lost and almost never found

That was real story, a reality that never wanted to fade

Then my mind told my heart 'Stop right there!'

'Who do you think you are? Giving me orders! Telling me to spend the rest of my life crying? Telling me that there is no hope?'

My heart had no reply, it knew all along that what it was doing to me was malicious...

My mind took control over my body and slowly let in bits and pieces of light in my soul...

It opened my eyes, i was no longer blind

It cured my ears, i was no longer deaf

It repaired my sense of smell, i started to smile

It reintroduced me to my sense of touch... And i realized how much I had been missing all this time...

The mind is the root and power to any source of happiness

I learnt that you need to let it decide for you at times

Happiness can sway by anytime, only a fool will ignore it

Yes! I was that fool!

No more! I have let the positive spirit enter my mind, my soul, and slowly the deep mysterious depths of my heart..

Any day can be a bright day now...
