You

You

A Poem by ThisIsElle_huh

I felt so lost , I felt numb

Never felt so lonely in a crowded room

You showed up Turned my world upside down

Spun me around I was so overwhelmed

Those big eyes, face splitting smile

Those sharp grey eyes make girls run for miles

But I know you

More than I should

I felt so lost, I felt numb

Never felt lonely in a crowded room

I was so curious, so I got involved

Wherever you went, I was to follow

Dancing with the devil in disguise, at a ballroom soiree

In a mask and gown, Exhilarated by knowing that no one knows your identity

I felt so lost, I felt numb

Never felt so lonely in a crowded room

Swirling to the dark euphoric beat

Those sharp eyes watching the moving fleet

So many people so little space

My heart starts beating at a delirious pace

You are as close as we dance chest to chest

The space between us obliterated by your being and aura

An intoxicating smell of spice and zest

Heavenly floating above everyone in a mist of flora
