Will Sable's questions come to be answered, or will she fail, and go back to the runway?

"

Chapter two:

Sable was awake all night with the bothersome questions she had about this place. The small crack in the door finally widened, and in came Rory. He rubbed his eyes sleepily. Behind him followed Henry, whom looked more awake. Sable became more alert as the two boys approached her.

“We’ve arranged a session with you, by the time you’re finished with that you’ll have no more questions.” Henry sighed, as she grabbed Sable’s pale hand, and lead her to her lesson. Sable clenched her fists, as they put a band over her eyes, and hooked her up to what looked like a computer. Images flashed on the screen, and words played around in her head. None of this new found knowledge answered her questions, but it gave her an idea of what the noises that came from their mouths were.  The images stopped, and the word flow ceased. Sable now understood what they had been saying, and she understood what was happening.

“These are words. These noises that are coming from my mouth are words.” She nodded as she looked up at Rory’s bewildered eyes.

“It really did teach her everything, didn’t it?” Rory’s jaw dropped.

“On the runway, there was a boy. He was not kind.” Sable shook her head. Rory smiled as he realized he could now communicate with this girl.

“I am beautiful.” She looked at Rory, recalling his words from the night before.

“Eh.” Rory put his hand on the back of his neck, and his cheeks lit up a little. “Yes.”

“Please explain to me where I am and what I am doing here.” Sable looked up at Henry and Rory.

“You want the whole story?” Henry sighed. “Okay, well, Rory, you tell her.” Rory moaned, as he took a seat knowing he’d be here awhile.

“You were one of our company’s models. We put models on the runway for entertainment for those watching. You happened to be one of a kind, and come to a clear understanding that you were living, and you had a life. Normally, our models are just re-programmed bodies that do what we tell them to. But you had your own mind.” Rory shook his head. “If you were anything like you should have been you would have stayed on the runway. Instead you ran away.”

“Model.” Sable said back to him. “I am a model?”

            “Yes.”
