I'll Cry Tomorrow

I'll Cry Tomorrow

A Story by Elizabeth Thief

I don't have time to mourn.

Not a minute to lament.

I have so much to do, I have no time.

Not a second, not a minute. Not ever.

I can't let tears blind me.

For now, I hold them in my pocket.

I hold in the agony and sorrow in exchange for restlessnes and pain.

I can't be weak.

I can't show tears to the world's eyes.

Alone, I will cry.

I'll cry by myself tomorrow.

Just one more day, one more hour.

I miss you.

But I just can't say goodbye.

I miss you,but I just can't say goodbye. That says it all right there.
But I think I heard a song tonight that said
" Sometimes good bye is a second chance."

I have missed your writing Elizabeth.....smiles
This was really good! I hope all is well.

Everything was great in this poem Elizabeth
except one line..."I can't weak." didn't quite make since.

"For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, "It might have been."

Thanks for sharing.

I really liked the line of holding the tears in my pocket. I think we all can relate to procrastination feelings because of their inconvienence mostly. Great how you expressed that!
