Dracula's Gleaming CultA Poem by Ellie HowardThis is another song i was inspired to write from collectively listening to all of MCR's music from their beginning to now. This song was influenced to me by punk sounds and new forms of color and art.And to the castles they
go, On their pale horses and armor Filled with venom and oil.
And racing on the metal To the palace gates, leather jackets as an armor and records as shields and nothing close to harder. They ride, ride, ride in the blue of summertime.
The bastions in chains Sit upon a purple glow. Their towers collapse, Filled with venom and
water So the Dracula cult
grows. And the glowing sky rains pale blood in showers.
They ride, ride, ride to
the heavens through the blue of the
night. They ride through and
through, through the venomous bites in the gleam of the summertime. And filthy leather as armor And wooden chains as
daggers.
The summertime sky, outlining their shadows and the castle Drowned of
color.
Dracula’s cult met darker
good byes And a harsher wrath in
the blue of summertime. © 2012 Ellie HowardAuthor's Note
