Elevators

Elevators

A Poem by Ellie Howard
"

This is more of a childish poem, based mostly on doctor who, the song "satellite" by Guster http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZtYa7UhCWc ; this song also sets the mood for the poem.

"

Stuck in an elevator to the moon,

Flouting by the atmosphere, a fading blue.

Take an elevator up to the darkness to see

gravity crumbling,

lifting you off your feet;

The cold hands of Mars and Mercury

touching.

There was a warmth on the horizon

of the moon that shown beneath

the sun, and turned the indigo into a purple sky.

Under the Milky Way, a church of stones

fly through a dimension of black cream;

Stuck in an elevator through the Galaxy.
