What is Life?

What is Life?

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

A Metaphor Poem

"

Life is a Lemon

Filled with bitter juices

But the tang can be sweet

Life is Daylight

Like pure Hope shining

Through the unforgiving cold of winter

Life is Freedom

From the ever-nearing shackles

Of Deaths embrace

Life is Weakness

For as long as you live

Your enemies have something

To hold against you

Life is Strength

The ability to fight off

Everlasting Sleep

For one more day
