The Final Tomorrow

The Final Tomorrow

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield

I was only trying to help

To save you

From  what was coming.

But in my desperate desire to help

It seem

I've sent you running

Straight for the destruction

I wished to keep you from.

You stand in the Dark

You were once in the Light

Have I sent you to the Eternal Night?

I stand by the fire

Of the Eternal Flame

It seems my Desire

Has brought me the blame

My guilt colors me

I am stained with sorrow.

As I wait for the Final Healing

The Final Tomorrow

Wow!
This is a beautifully written poem, although it sort of scared me somehow. :D
Well done.
