Stay

Stay

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield

Bored out of my mind

Crying out for something,

Anything,

To save me from this nothing.

CAn you hep me?

Or must I help Myself?

Can I lean on your shoulder?

May I borrow some of your strength?

Will you lend me some courage?

I can face the pain

Of a thousand rains

If only you

Will help me through.

Will you stand with me

When the world falls down

Around my feet?

Will you stay with me

When all my walls

Begin to break?

Must I be alone?

When I make the worst mistake?

I can face lifes storms

Beyond lifes norms

If you'd stand by me

Wherever I may be.

Stay, please.

I really like this, it could be for a friend or a lover. It is often we need each other to get through hard times and it is always nice to know you have someone there for you always, great poem :)
