Burn

Burn

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

A poem about a girl who wants her love to be there for her.

"

My heart belongs to one

Yet longs for company

The one who holds my heart

Is never near enough for me

So watch this city burn

I'm tired of loving

With no love back

Angry at the world

For taking the love

That belongs to me

Burn

If I can't get what I deserve

Then neither can you.

Is love too much to ask for?

If it is,

We all will go up in flames.

Sorry, I know it's crappy compared to my other stuff, but we all deserve love, and if we can't have it then what's the point of life?

I love the emotion. I think the ending is a little awkward but the first to parts were really good.

The impact of emotion really negates the playing of the words, well done, good read.

Self love is love one forgets. Understand the need to feel love from another. It's agonizing. I like this piece, well written.
