Breathing Suffering

Breathing Suffering

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

This one I wrote last year, but never finished. Lets hope other people understand.

"

Cold, Dark, Damp

Confusing tunnels, Twists and Turns

How do I escape?

Left or Right, Right or Wron

An echoed Shriek

Fear, Hopelessness, Despair

A solitary Tear

Takes residence on my Cheek

Love is Torturous

It tears at your Soul

Once you've found It

It won't let you Go

Pain

Tears through You

The soundless Screams

Shredding your Throat

As you pray to God

To free You

With every last breath you Breath

Love is painful when letting go of what isn't love. Other than depressing, good read and write:)
