A Glimpse of Love

A Glimpse of Love

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

A poem I wrote, never knowing who it was about. Then a friend read it and said that it described me. I don't really know about that though.

"

Hair as black as midnight

Eyes of Emerald Green

Skin as pale as paper

Glowing with a lively sheen

Spinning, spinning, spinning

Round and round we go

I focus on her features

She's beautiful you know

A wonderful companion

A never changing friend

And even when she's wounded

She's faithful 'till the end

Spinning, spinning, spinning

Round and round we go

I focus on her soul now

She's beautiful you know

Beautiful, compassionate

The ever faithful friend

And even if she doesn't know

I'll love her 'till the end

Think of it as a love poem. Not about me though.
