The Lost Ones

The Lost Ones

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

Another religious peice, this time about the coming of the Deciever.

"

The son of Perdition

Cried out to thee

"Hello my children.

Welcome me."

The people ran

and ran and ran

"Look," they shouted

"The son of man."

I wept with anger

That this liar he,

Would pretend

My Lord to be

I watched on high

From heaven's sky

And cried for the ones

Who would truly die

My True Lord came

and comforted me.

"My child," He said

"It could not be.

They know me not

And never will,

For child, their hearts

Are hardened still."
