Beautious Destruction

Beautious Destruction

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

Something I thought of while watching a storm moving in.

"

The clouds roll and roll and roll

across the everlasting canvas

that is the dark sky.

The taste of rain

Lingers in the air.

Electricity prickles

across my skin.

Then comes the lightning.

No where to run

but do I really want to?

Do I wish to cower

in fear

when I can revel

in the dark beauty

of destruction?
