Diseased

Diseased

A Poem by Elizabeth Porterfield
"

A poem about how it feels to have someone want every second of your life to be miserable.

"

A toothy maw inside

Gnawing at what little is left of me

Tearing me apart

From the inside out

Depart from me demon

You're killing me

Slowly

I wish to live

But you will not be forced to leave

Please, someone

Heal me

Free me

Of this disease!

I hope you don't feel this. I have and it hurts. You have captured the feeling wonderfully. Great job!

What a most fatal prose, you drag the reader into the pit of no hope and never let go, a most powerful piece, well done, great read.
